This beautiful family was the winner of my family session giveaway and I couldn’t have been happier for them!

Seeing as we’re fast approaching the Christmas/Summer holidays, I thought I’d do an update on my blog post from a few months ago and highlight some our family’s favourites Wellington spots!

I loved getting to hang out with this amazing family for the second year in a row, this time at the beautiful Otari-Wilton’s Bush in Wellington!

Not only was the native bush an incredible backdrop for family photos, we also had their dad/grandad with us before he returned to England later that week. So it made it an even more special time to capture!

It was so much fun getting to hang out with this sweet family before they welcome their new little girl. They were absolute champs and braved the cold wind and I’m so glad they did!

I love these wintery colours so much and the river, trees and clouds made for such a beautiful backdrop for our time together. This session is a perfect example of how you don’t have to have perfect weather and the golden hour light to still have an amazing setting.

The school holidays are only a week away and sometimes the days can also feel like they stretch out unendingly before you ;)

So with that in mind, I thought I’d put together a handful of fun, free outdoor activities our family enjoys around Wellington, which with this amazing weather we’ve been having should hopefully work well!

After having to reschedule a couple of times, it was so fun to finally meet and hang out with this sweet family! Even though amazing autumn leaves are not the most plentiful around Wellington, we managed to find a couple of beautiful trees at Riddiford Gardens in Lower Hutt and the final photos just give such a sense of warmth and coziness! Their cute baby girl did so well and we got some amazing photos together! Enjoy!

I’ve been so excited to get to share more of this gallery with you! Despite all the rain we’ve been having these last few weeks, we managed to pick a day of full sun and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect, clear-skied, golden-sun-drenched evening at Eastbourne beach for this sweet family.
