Here’s some of my story…
Four years ago when I became a mum, I quickly realised that the old cliché - “the days are long but the years are short” is actually true.
While there were days that seemed as though they lasted at least three, time was passing so quickly as I was watching this little person grow, change and evolve right in front of me.
Perhaps the greatest privilege we have as a parent is the front row seat we have to watching our kids discover the world and who they are in it.
But life is busy, parenting is full on (dare I say, often exhausting!) and time slips by so quickly. We want to hold on to it all - every moment, every memory of our family as it is today and yet getting a nice picture of everyone together (even mum!) in a way that’s actually enjoyable and not stressful, seems nearly impossible.
I’ve been there, I get it. Which is why I’m so passionate about what I do!
I want to give you the feeling of knowing that not only have you managed to get that seemingly illusive family photo where everyone is actually enjoying themselves, but a collection of authentic, intentional and fun photos that when you look back on them in the years to come, will remind you of all of the sweetness that came with this season of your family.
A little more about me…
I am a born & bred Wellingtonian and love living back here after over ten years away living overseas and most recently in sunny Tauranga. I live here with my husband, Matt, and our two amazing boys, Luca & Koah.
As you can imagine with young boys, our home is busy and loud (so don’t worry about your kids during your session, I’m used to it all!) but I wouldn’t have it any other way. While I love to cosy up with a good book or get stuck into baking something yum, these days you’re just as likely to find me building forts in our living room, playing ninjas, or having a dance party in the kitchen.
We love to get out and enjoy our city, in search of the best cup of coffee and an awesome playground. When we can, we also love to travel and have been to nearly 40 countries and have lived in 3 (my husband is American, although quickly becoming Kiwi at heart ;)) We’re very thankful to be back in New Zealand now though, and I love getting to make the most of our beautiful land in my photography.
